Architecture Shaped Like the Sea
Designed by Stipfold, Perla is a luxury villa in Marbella that departs from traditional rectilinear forms in favor of fluid, organic geometry. Inspired by the silhouette of a wave frozen mid break, the residence merges roof and walls into a continuous white shell. This shape breaking approach allows the structure to feel in dialogue with the surrounding coastline, echoing the motion and energy of the Mediterranean.
Curves Transparency and Outdoor Flow
The home’s aerodynamic exterior wraps around its living spaces, creating both visual drama and practical shade. Expansive glazing and sliding glass doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, drawing natural light deep into the open plan layout while keeping sea views central. Cantilevered roof sections extend outward to form sheltered terraces, reinforcing a seamless indoor outdoor lifestyle suited to Marbella’s climate.
A Sculptural Interior Experience
Inside, the architecture continues its language of flow and continuity. A double height living area highlights the curvature of the overhead shell, allowing the structure itself to function as the primary design feature. Minimal finishes and a restrained palette ensure the focus remains on form and light. An integrated infinity pool appears to spill toward the horizon, completing a residence that operates as both a livable home and a piece of sculptural art rooted in its coastal setting.
