De’Longhi and Simon Weisse Studio turn miniature architecture into a playful celebration of coffee culture.
Five Cities Reimagined in Miniature
At Milan Design Week, De’Longhi introduced an imaginative concept titled The World’s Smallest Coffee Shop. Created in partnership with Simon Weisse Studio, the project features five tiny café installations inspired by iconic coffee destinations including Paris, Tokyo, Milan, Copenhagen, and Berlin.
Each miniature storefront captures the atmosphere of its city while showcasing De’Longhi coffee machines at the center of the experience.
Coffee Shop Quality Designed for Home
The concept highlights how café style drinks can be recreated in everyday spaces through De’Longhi’s fully automatic machines. Leading the presentation is the Rivelia bean to cup model, equipped with interchangeable bean hoppers that allow users to switch between blends and roast profiles with ease.
By placing the machines inside these tiny cafés, the project emphasizes that professional quality coffee can begin at home.
Cinema Craft Meets Functional Design
Simon Weisse Studio, known for detailed miniature work in film production, brought cinematic precision to the collaboration. The installations include handcrafted details such as tiny cups, curtains, and movable windows that allow access to machine controls.
The result is a playful blend of storytelling, design, and technical craftsmanship that turns everyday coffee making into an immersive visual experience.
De’Longhi’s Milan Design Week showcase runs from April 21 through April 25 in the Brera District.
