The Gooder Store blends retail, community and skate culture into a flexible, design led environment.

A Store Built Around Skate Culture

studio pheasant has reimagined the concept of a skatepark with the Gooder Store in Dubai, transforming it into a multi functional cultural space. Located in Alserkal Avenue, the project goes beyond traditional retail by combining shopping, social interaction and skate culture into one cohesive setting.

The design reflects the DIY spirit of skateboarding, encouraging movement, interaction and a sense of community within the space.

Raw Materials and Modular Design

The store’s aesthetic is defined by a mix of raw materials including timber, metal and tile, all presented in a muted, earthy palette. This combination creates a balance between industrial durability and refined design.

A key feature of the space is its modular system. Fixtures and elements can be moved and reconfigured, allowing the environment to adapt for exhibitions, events or changing retail needs. This flexibility ensures the store remains dynamic rather than static.

At the center, a sculptural fountain inspired by traditional Damascus courtyards acts as a social anchor, connecting regional heritage with contemporary design language.

Retail Meets Experience

The Gooder Store is designed as more than a place to shop. It integrates hospitality and experiential elements to create an immersive environment that evolves over time.

By merging cultural references, adaptable design and community focused programming, studio pheasant has created a space that reflects both the energy of skate culture and the broader shift toward experience driven retail.
