Sou Fujimoto Shapes Abu Dhabi’s First Baccarat Residences

Flowing twin towers rise over Saadiyat Island, blending sculptural architecture with crystal heritage.

Sculptural Towers on Saadiyat’s Shoreline

The Baccarat Residences Saadiyat mark Sou Fujimoto’s first residential project in the UAE. Designed as a landmark within Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District, the development is defined by two fluid towers whose undulating forms echo the island’s shoreline. The architecture introduces a sense of motion to the skyline, translating Fujimoto’s signature organic language into a coastal Middle Eastern context.

Developed by Aldar, the project merges contemporary Japanese design with the 262 year legacy of the French Maison Baccarat. The result is a residential concept that balances structural artistry with refined luxury.

Seventy Seven Homes With Panoramic Views

The development comprises 77 exclusive residences, ranging from expansive apartments to four bedroom sky villas and two signature penthouses. Each home is oriented to capture sweeping views of the Arabian Sea and neighboring cultural institutions such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the forthcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Floor to ceiling glazing enhances the connection between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.

Crystal Heritage Meets Curated Living

Interiors by Los Angeles based StudioPCH weave neoclassical influences with the luminous elegance associated with Baccarat crystal. Residents have access to a private wellness sanctuary, an outdoor infinity pool with cabanas, and concierge level services that include private jet arrangements and bespoke interior design consultation. Through its fusion of architecture, craftsmanship and hospitality, the Baccarat Residences bring a new sculptural identity to Abu Dhabi’s evolving skyline.
