Inside F/ABA Nest: A Curved, Light-Filled Showroom That Feels Like a Nest

A minimal space with natural warmth and sculptural detail, nestled in the heart of Bundang.

Where Architecture Meets Emotion

Located in Seoul’s upscale Bundang district, F/ABA Nest is the new flagship showroom for local minimalist furniture brand F/ABA — and it lives up to its name. Designed by Seoul-based firm flw8studio, the space draws inspiration from the gentle embrace of a bird’s nest, wrapping visitors in soft light, curved forms, and a sense of calm intention.

At just 30 square meters, the space is compact, but its design feels anything but. Every detail, from texture to structure, contributes to a larger narrative of flow, balance, and quiet sophistication.

A Sculptural Entrance, A Soft Interior

From the street, the entrance reads like a sculpture — a deep-toned monolithic frame built around a custom 3M door. The surrounding windows are tucked seamlessly into the building’s columns, forming a cohesive visual rhythm that continues throughout the space. During the day, natural light pours in through expansive glass panels. At night, the glow from within softly spills onto the street, spotlighting F/ABA’s furniture like art in a gallery.

Flowing Lines and Gentle Light

Inside, an angled counter aligns with the front façade, guiding visitors into the space. Columns placed throughout the room mimic the soft geometry of F/ABA’s signature pieces, subtly directing movement while reinforcing the brand’s design language.

On the far wall, a wooden-louvered “birdcage” installation diffuses light across textured stucco, creating an interplay of warmth and contrast. Above, a wood-toned ceiling with concealed lighting lifts the space visually, allowing each furniture piece to shine.

Every element feels deliberate and connected — a quiet, powerful reflection of F/ABA’s vision.
