This summer, The LEGO Group transformed the Serpentine Gallery into a vibrant playground of creativity and imagination.

A Pavilion Built for Creativity

Designed by legendary architect Sir Peter Cook, the PLAY Pavilion at London’s Serpentine Gallery hosted a two-month program of free initiatives that brought art, music, and sport together under one roof. The colorful space welcomed visitors of all ages to explore their creativity, with workshops and activations designed to inspire new ideas and celebrate the power of play.

Workshops Through a Creator’s Lens

To dive deeper into the experience, three London-based content creators explored the Pavilion and shared their take on the activities. Running enthusiast David Zakwan joined the Nike x LEGO® football activation, where visitors could design one-of-a-kind football jerseys and later head to a dedicated PLAY Arena for drills, games, and a chance to test the latest Nike Phantom boots.

Lifestyle creator Moe Osman tapped into his artistic side at the abstract art workshop, reimagining Kensington Gardens and experimenting with LEGO® bricks to build colorful 2D and 3D pieces. Meanwhile, music producer and radio host Jaguar Bingham brought her love for sound into the Record Shop activation, recreating the cover of her debut single “WILD!” entirely from LEGO® bricks.

A Space That Brought People Together

More than just an exhibition, the PLAY Pavilion created a space where imagination and community collided. Whether through sport, art, or music, visitors left with not just unique creations but also a reminder of how play can spark inspiration at any age.
