Taras Yoom Transforms Signature Backgammon Set Into a Clutch Bag

clutch

A wearable work of art that turns the classic board game into a jewel like accessory.

Overview

Taras Yoom and Aureta Thomollari have teamed up on Another Kingdom Game of Light a limited edition 2 in 1 backgammon clutch that doubles as a fully functional game and a collectible accessory. The collaboration fuses Aureta’s maximalist color sensibility with Yoom’s experimental gaming line to produce a piece that reads as both utility and sculpture.

Design and Materials

The clutch houses a layered construction of silver brass wood steel glass and acrylic with checkers set in lab grown rubies placed beneath glass lenses to refract light. Surface treatments include gold leaf crystal embellishment and jewelry grade finishing techniques such as fine 3D printing casting inlay work leather and fabric wrapping and paracord weaving. Each piece also contains an embedded NFC chip that serves as a digital certificate to authenticate provenance and ownership.

Release and Price

Limited to 21 handcrafted sets the Another Kingdom Game of Light is presented as a leather and alcantara clutch with a paracord shoulder strap. Priced at $20,000 USD each the collection premieres at Art Miami 2025 at the Yoomoota Booth AM209 running December 2 through 7 and is available to order online.
