Roy Lichtenstein in Focus at Dallas Museums

dallas

Experience five decades of pop art innovation across two landmark exhibitions.

Dual Exhibition Showcase

The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) and Nasher Sculpture Center have partnered for Roy Lichtenstein in Studio, a cross-museum exhibition that brings the pop art icon’s work into full view. The exhibitions are fueled by a landmark gift from the Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, featuring over 50 pieces including prints, drawings, maquettes, prototypes, and sculptures.

What to See

At the Nasher Sculpture Center, visitors will explore Lichtenstein’s sculptural experiments, with Brushstroke works paired alongside preparatory drawings and maquettes. Meanwhile, the DMA highlights carved wooden Brushstroke pieces alongside prints and studies, tracing the artist’s diverse imagery from comic strips to everyday objects and art history references.

Exhibition Details

  • Nasher Sculpture Center: on view until August 16, 2026
  • Dallas Museum of Art: on view until July 5, 2026

These exhibitions offer a rare opportunity to experience Lichtenstein’s creative evolution across two neighboring institutions in the heart of the Dallas Arts District.
