The band brings its iconic era to life through sound, film and installation.
A Subterranean Debut at Coachella
Radiohead is launching Motion Picture House: KID A MNESIA, an immersive audiovisual installation set to debut at Coachella 2026. Built inside a massive 17,000-square-foot underground bunker beneath the festival grounds, the experience is designed as a fully enclosed environment with towering 38-foot ceilings, placing visitors directly inside the world of Kid A and Amnesiac.
A 75-Minute Film and Surround Sound Experience
At the center of the installation is a 75-minute large-format film directed by Sean Evans. It pulls from thousands of original visuals created by Thom Yorke and longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood, including sketches, paintings and collages from the late ’90s and early 2000s. The film is paired with a custom six-point surround sound system featuring remixed audio from the original album recordings, creating a dense, atmospheric experience that blends music and visual art.
North American Tour to Follow
After its Coachella debut, the installation will travel across North America with stops in cities like Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City and San Francisco. Each showing is structured as a two-hour experience, giving visitors time for both the film and additional gallery spaces filled with artwork from the era. Tickets go on sale April 24, following a pre-registration window closing April 12.
