The latest edition of Prada Mode transforms one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks into an immersive exploration of creativity, technology, and human connection.

Prada Mode Lands in New York City

Prada has unveiled the 14th edition of its Prada Mode cultural series with “Satellites II,” a multi-day exhibition taking over the historic Hotel Chelsea in New York City. Timed to coincide with the Tribeca Festival, the activation continues the luxury house’s commitment to bringing together art, film, design, and culture through immersive experiences.

The project reunites acclaimed filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn and legendary game creator Hideo Kojima, whose creative partnership first debuted in Tokyo in 2025. Together, the duo has reimagined Hotel Chelsea through a futuristic lens while preserving the romantic and artistic legacy that has defined the landmark for generations.

A Futuristic Vision Inside a Historic Landmark

“Satellites II” explores themes of love, language, creativity, and human connection through a blend of science fiction aesthetics and intimate storytelling. Refn and Kojima have transformed the hotel into a series of interconnected environments that blur the lines between public and private spaces.

During the opening events, select hotel rooms were converted into miniature television studios hosting live performances. Those same spaces now function as immersive art installations, inviting visitors to move through a narrative-driven environment that combines cinematic storytelling, visual art, and experiential design.

Beyond the Walls of Hotel Chelsea

The exhibition extends beyond the hotel itself through a broader cultural program that includes screenings, artist discussions, and site-specific installations across New York City. The expanded format allows visitors to engage with the themes of the project from multiple perspectives while creating a citywide dialogue around art, technology, and contemporary culture.

Prada Mode New York “Satellites II” is currently open to the public and runs through June 7, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the creative worlds of Nicolas Winding Refn and Hideo Kojima inside one of New York’s most legendary cultural landmarks.
