The special edition sneaker blends national colors and football culture ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
A Design Inspired by National Pride
Nike is introducing the Air Max 95 “Mexico,” a special colorway that channels the country’s identity and passion for football. As global excitement builds toward the next World Cup, the release transforms the iconic runner into a lifestyle sneaker inspired by Mexican culture.
The design prominently features the colors of the Mexican flag across the upper. White, red and green appear throughout the construction, while green accents highlight the heel and the enlarged visible Air units, reinforcing the patriotic theme.
Bold Graphics and Cultural References
Several details throughout the shoe directly reference Mexico’s cultural pride. The words Mexico and El Tiempo FC appear across the design in bright pink lettering, adding a bold graphic touch to the silhouette.
Inside the sneaker, the insoles feature the Spanish phrase Amor Que No Se Apaga, which translates to a love that never fades. The message reflects the deep connection between the country and its football culture.
Retro Style With Modern Air Max DNA
One of the most eye catching features of the design is the metallic silver flame overlays that run along the Air Max 95’s signature side panels. The flame shapes introduce a slightly retro look that feels reminiscent of custom sneaker designs.
The pair is completed with a vintage inspired midsole that gives the shoe an aged aesthetic while maintaining the performance comfort the Air Max 95 is known for. The Nike Air Max 95 Mexico is expected to release in Summer 2026 with a retail price of 200 USD through Nike and select retailers.
