Inside Wild Cherry: A24’s Cinematic Supper Club in the West Village

A24

A film studio’s first restaurant merges intimate dining with the historic charm of the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Cinematic Dining Concept

Wild Cherry, A24’s inaugural restaurant, transforms the century-old Cherry Lane Theatre into a supper club blending cinema, performance, and refined cuisine. The venue continues A24’s vision since acquiring the Off-Broadway landmark in 2023, creating a unique space where film and dining intersect.

Design That Evokes Atmosphere

Designed by Zeb Stewart, the 45-seat interior features deep green banquettes, chequerboard floors, limewashed walls, and a slatted ceiling casting a soft, moody glow. A 12-seat horseshoe bar anchors the room, while retro-inspired details like funfair-style bulbs evoke nostalgia. The result is a layered environment that feels intimate, theatrical, and unmistakably cinematic.

Menu and Experience

Helmed by chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr, Wild Cherry offers a menu balancing raw delicacies, hearty mains, and playful desserts. Highlights include oysters, tuna crudo, lobster club sandwiches, roasted monkfish kebabs, and a steak for two. Drinks range from natural wines to theatrical cocktails like the Scorpion Bowl, served in vintage Murano glass, completing the immersive dining experience.
