Giza Pyramids Inspire Contemporary Art

art

Forever Is Now showcases 10 international artists reimagining the timeless power of Egypt’s heritage.

A Monumental Canvas

Returning to the Giza Plateau for its fifth edition, Forever Is Now transforms the ancient pyramids into an open-air gallery through December 6, 2025. The exhibition celebrates Egypt’s cultural legacy while exploring how art bends, shifts, and endures across time. Ten site-specific commissions invite visitors to experience the mythic and historical dimensions of the pyramids through contemporary creativity.

Highlights of the 2025 Edition

Vhils presents “Doors of Cairo,” turning found street objects into portals connecting past and present. Jongkyo Park’s “Code of Eternal” features nearly 1,000 stainless steel mirrors arranged to reveal a hidden message. Other standout works include Ege Köse’s colorful reinterpretation of the Shen symbol and Ana Ferrari’s “Wind,” a symphony of desert air channeled through 21 aluminum flutes.

Celebrating Dialogue and Creativity

Supported by UNESCO and Art D’Egypte, the showcase emphasizes cross-cultural exchange and the enduring power of art, blending ancient majesty with contemporary innovation.
