Coachella 2026 – Art Heaven

coachella

Installations across the desert turn downtime into something just as memorable as the music.

Immersive Works Across the Festival Grounds

Beyond the stacked lineup, Coachella 2026 once again leans into large-scale art as part of the experience. Curated by Public Art Company, this year’s installations are scattered across the Indio grounds, designed to reflect the desert’s shifting light and energy while giving festivalgoers space to pause between sets. Rather than just visual spectacles, the works are meant to be entered, sat in and moved through — creating moments of rest, shade and reflection in the middle of the chaos.

Standout Installations Lead the Program

Sabine Marcelis headlines the lineup with “Maze,” an inflatable structure shaped by soft, canyon-like forms that shift in tone throughout the day. Under the sun, it reads like a mirage, filtering light and sound into a calmer, more introspective space, before glowing from within once night falls.

Elsewhere, Kyriakos Chatziparaskevas presents “Starry Eyes,” a towering cluster of pleated cactus-inspired structures. Visitors can step inside the base, where color and shade combine to create a cool refuge from the heat.

Los Angeles Design Group, alongside Stud-IO Construction, rounds things out with “Visage Brut,” a vertical stack of warped geometric boxes. The structure feels almost unstable by design, shifting visually from dense mass to a more delicate lattice as the light changes throughout the day.

A Space to Reset Between Sets

Together, the installations turn the festival into more than just a music destination. They create pockets of stillness and curiosity — places where people can slow down, cool off and engage with the environment in a different way. Running through both weekends, the works are on view April 17 to 19 for Weekend 2 attendees, continuing Coachella’s push to blend sound, space and art into one experience.
