Two new Corvette variants bring naturally aspirated power and hybrid performance to the lineup.
A Return of an Iconic Nameplate
Chevrolet has brought back the Grand Sport badge for 2027, introducing both a rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport and an all-wheel-drive Grand Sport X. Positioned between the Stingray and Z06, the new models adopt wider bodywork, upgraded suspension and larger brakes pulled from higher-performance variants, giving them a more aggressive, track-ready stance.
A New LS6 V8 at the Core
Both models are powered by a newly developed 6.7-liter naturally aspirated LS6 V8. The engine delivers 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most potent naturally aspirated setups in Corvette history. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, the setup focuses on delivering raw, responsive performance without forced induction.
Hybrid Power Pushes the GSX Further
The Grand Sport X builds on that foundation by adding an electric motor to the front axle, creating an all-wheel-drive hybrid system. With a combined output of 721 horsepower, it effectively replaces the E-Ray while offering even greater performance. Additional features like carbon-ceramic brakes and dedicated track modes position the GSX as a high-performance option that can handle a wide range of driving conditions.
