Buchanan Studio Launches Outdoor Collection for Effortless Al Fresco Living

buchanan

The London-based design studio brings its signature sculptural style outdoors with durable, weather-ready details.

Bohemian Form Meets Outdoor Function

Buchanan Studio has unveiled its new Outdoor Collection — a reimagining of the brand’s popular Studio Chair and Stool, now built to thrive in open-air settings. Handcrafted in England by founders Angus and Charlotte Buchanan, each piece maintains the curvy, playful silhouettes of the original indoor versions, while incorporating durable materials made for year-round outdoor use.

The frames are constructed from marine-grade timber, engineered to withstand the elements without sacrificing style. Each chair and stool includes hidden drainage channels, breathable mesh bases, waterproof linings, and rust-resistant hardware — ensuring the pieces stay dry, stable, and beautiful even in unpredictable weather.

Performance Textiles That Don’t Compromise on Style

Upholstery comes from the brand’s debut Wild Fabric Collection — a range of 100% Trevira CS performance fabrics woven in Italy. The collection includes fade-resistant and water-repellent options in Studio Stripe™ (available in Dawn Pink, Deep Blue, and Khaki), as well as versatile plains in Chalk and Khaki and a new Box Check pattern in Red.

Despite their high performance, the textiles retain a soft, natural hand that works as well indoors as it does outside, allowing the collection to transition seamlessly between environments.

Available Now

Prices range from £165 to £4,795 GBP (approximately $219 to $6,358 USD), and the full Outdoor Collection is available now exclusively through Buchanan Studio’s website.
