The legendary off road Lamborghini known as the “Rambo Lambo” appears on the market in near pristine condition.
A Collector Grade Example of Lamborghini History
A remarkably preserved 1990 Lamborghini LM002 has surfaced for sale through vintage supercar specialist Curated, presenting a rare opportunity for collectors. The LM002 holds a unique place in Lamborghini history as the brand’s first high performance luxury SUV long before models like the Urus entered the market.
This specific vehicle is especially rare. Out of just 328 LM002 units produced, only 48 examples were built for the United States market under the LM American designation. Delivered new in November 1990, the SUV was originally purchased by a Florida owner as part of a large special order package that also included a brand new Lamborghini Diablo.
Over three decades later the vehicle remains completely original and has only traveled 6,676 kilometers, or roughly 4,148 miles.
A Striking Design Preserved in Original Condition
The LM002 stands out with its bold military inspired design and imposing presence. This example is finished in Bianco Perlato, a bright pearl white exterior that contrasts with a vibrant Rosso and Bianco leather interior.
Inside, the cabin remains a true time capsule from the early 1990s. All original controls, instrumentation, power window switches and the three spoke steering wheel remain intact and fully functional. The exterior also retains its factory lighting, removable tonneau cover, rear storage compartments and a color matched spare tire housing.
Powered by a Legendary Lamborghini V12
Under the hood, the LM002 shares its heart with one of Lamborghini’s most famous supercars. The SUV is powered by the L520i fuel injected 5.2 liter V12 engine originally used in the Lamborghini Countach.
The engine produces around 450 horsepower and is paired with a five speed manual transmission, allowing the massive off road machine to reach speeds of up to 118 miles per hour. To maintain its condition, the vehicle recently underwent a comprehensive concours level restoration by LM002 specialist Evans, including servicing of fluids, belts and filters.
