Honoring the Legacy of Yoshida Kichizo

To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Yoshida & Co. presents the “Every Day is a New Beginning” exhibition, a tribute to founder Yoshida Kichizo’s enduring vision. The event offers visitors a rare chance to explore nearly a century of thoughtful craftsmanship and dedication to quality.

Showcasing Rare and Historic Creations

The exhibition unveils never-before-seen items, including the handcart Kichizo used to sell bags in post-war Japan, a bag crafted for Akira Kurosawa’s film High and Low, and his signature horseshoe-shaped coin purse and trunk case. Visitors can also discover silkscreen posters by Tadanori Yokoo, designed specially for the 90th anniversary, along with exclusive limited-edition goods available for purchase.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship and Philosophy

Since its founding in 1935, Yoshida & Co. has upheld a philosophy rooted in “Made in Japan.” Each bag is created as both a functional tool and a heartfelt expression of precision and care. This timeless approach continues to define the Porter brand, honoring the spirit and legacy of its founder.

The exhibition will be held from November 14 to November 16 at Kudan House in Tokyo. Reservations can be made through Yoshida & Co.’s official website.
