One of only 301 examples produced, this extreme off-roader merges supercar power with luxury craftsmanship.
A Rare Collector’s Gem
The 1987 Lamborghini LM002, famously dubbed the “Rambo Lambo,” recently sold for $400,000 USD at a Bring A Trailer auction. As one of just 301 examples manufactured between 1986 and 1993, this model represents Lamborghini’s bold 1980s vision, fusing brute off-road capability with high-end design.
Extreme Performance
Under the hood sits a 5.2-liter V12 engine shared with the Lamborghini Countach, fed by six Weber carburetors. Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, and three self-locking differentials, producing 455 horsepower and making it as capable off-road as it is iconic on the street.
Luxury Meets Rugged
The LM002’s angular aluminum and fiberglass body is finished in silver, a refinished look following earlier camouflage and black liveries. Inside, beige leather upholstery covers bucket seats, complemented by a wood instrument bezel. This particular LM002, chassis GLA12021, has a storied history across Europe before landing in the US, cementing its status as one of the most coveted vintage SUVs.
