Tyla’s ‘WWP’ Mixtape Brings the Vibes — and the Heat

Tyla

Tyla just gave us a reason to chant “We Wanna Party” all season long.

Her new mixtape WWP is here — a four-track drop full of feel-good energy, irresistible rhythm, and signature Tyla charm. Released today via FAX and Epic Records, WWP feels like a love letter to joy, connection, and vibing out with your crew.

The project includes her previously released singles Bliss and Is It, plus two new standouts: Mr. Media and Dynamite, her long-awaited collab with Wizkid. That one’s been sitting in the vault since 2022 — and according to Tyla, it aged like wine.

“When I thought of doing a mixtape called WWP, I went back to all my old demos and I remembered the Wiz one,” she shared during an intimate listening session in London. “And it was still good, like, after three years! I just told him, ‘Let’s finish it because I want to drop it.’”

The Meaning Behind WWP

So what exactly does WWP stand for? According to Tyla, it’s not just a catchy acronym — it’s a full-on mood. “I’ve been on this tip of enjoying life, not just partying, but just enjoyment with people that I love, with people that are a vibe,” she explained.

WWP stands for “We Wanna Party” — a South African chant that’s been used for years to hype people up and bring energy into any space. “The music screams it,” Tyla said. And she’s not wrong.

The mixtape blends playful production with her soft-but-powerful vocals and an infectious spirit that makes you want to move. Whether it’s a late-night link-up, a rooftop pregame, or a solo moment with the volume up, WWP delivers the vibe.

What’s Next for Tyla

Fresh off a buzzworthy Coachella performance earlier this year, Tyla is keeping the momentum going. She’s set to perform at the 2025 Global Citizen Festival on September 27 in NYC’s Central Park. Sharing the stage with Shakira, The Weeknd, Ayra Starr, and Mariah the Scientist, she’s in iconic company — and more than ready for it.

Stream WWP now, and let Tyla soundtrack your summer.
