The Eternal Legacy of Ozzy Osbourne: Upcoming Films, Memoir, and Lost Recordings

Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne may have left this world, but his music, spirit, and larger-than-life persona will continue to captivate fans through a series of powerful posthumous projects.

Film and Documentary Projects

A major concert film, Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow, is set for a theatrical release in early 2026. This 100-minute feature captures unforgettable moments from the epic Back to the Beginning show at Villa Park, where Ozzy performed alongside Metallica, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and more. The film promises raw behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews, and a heartfelt tribute to the godfather of heavy metal.

Another project on the way is No Escape From Now, a feature-length documentary premiering on Paramount+ later this year. Directed by BAFTA-winner Tania Alexander, the film documents Ozzy’s six-year struggle following his 2019 fall and his ongoing fight with Parkinson’s disease. It reveals an intimate side of Ozzy, exploring his resilience, humor, and deep connection to music.

Last Rites Memoir

On October 7, Ozzy’s highly anticipated memoir, Last Rites, will be released via Grand Central Publishing. A follow-up to his 2009 book I Am Ozzy, this memoir dives into his health battles, career highlights, and untold stories from his wild life in rock and roll. It promises reflections on his chaotic days with Black Sabbath, friendships with legends like Slash and AC/DC’s Bon Scott, and his enduring love for Sharon Osbourne.

Music, Beauty, and Lost Tapes

Earlier this month, the Ozzy Osbourne x Jolie Beauty cosmetics line launched, with items like the Ozzmosis Palette and Rock Royalty brush kit selling out within 24 hours.

Fans will also get to hear Earth: The Legendary Lost Tapes, a long-lost collection of recordings from 1969 with Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler—back when Black Sabbath was still known as Earth. These remastered tracks offer a rare glimpse into the early roots of heavy metal.
