A glossy throwback livery and a new era of engineering signal a major shift for the championship winning team.

A Landmark Reveal in Detroit

Red Bull Racing officially kicked off its 2026 Formula 1 campaign with the unveiling of the RB22 at Michigan Central Station in Detroit, the headquarters of technical partner Ford. The event marked the debut of Red Bull Ford Powertrains, representing the team’s first season as a fully independent engine manufacturer and a major step in its long term technical ambitions.

A Livery That Honors the Past

The RB22 introduces a high gloss blue livery that recalls Red Bull Racing’s original 2005 debut car, moving away from the matte finishes of recent seasons. Beyond its nostalgic appeal, the reflective surface is designed to enhance visibility under track lighting. The design reflects a pivotal moment for the team, which now builds both its chassis and power unit in house, uniting heritage with forward looking innovation.

A New Driver Lineup for a New Era

While Max Verstappen continues as the team’s lead driver, the 2026 season brings a notable change with the addition of rookie Isack Hadjar. The French driver earns his promotion following a strong debut year with the Racing Bulls squad. Together, the pairing will face a dramatically revised Formula 1 landscape, featuring new regulations that introduce active aerodynamics and an equal balance between electric and combustion power.
