Pyra Maps a New Course for Technical Streetwear

pyra

A performance driven collection that moves easily between outdoor terrain and everyday city life.

Built From the Outdoors Up

Pyra is a technical apparel label founded by New Zealand born designer Sam Moore, whose background in freestyle skiing heavily informs the brand’s DNA. Now based on Australia’s Gold Coast, Moore draws from years spent in alpine environments, developing a deep understanding of weather protection, fabric performance and functional construction. Pyra was born from a simple gap in his own wardrobe: clothing that could withstand outdoor conditions without feeling out of place off the mountain.

Where Performance Meets Daily Wear

Rather than leaning fully into traditional outdoor gear or conventional streetwear, Pyra positions itself in between. The brand prioritises technical credibility while maintaining silhouettes and styling that translate easily into everyday settings. This balance allows the garments to function across changing environments, from coastal weather to urban movement.

Inside the SS26 Scenic Route Collection

For Spring Summer 2026, Pyra introduces Scenic Route, a collection centered on adaptability and material integrity. Inspired by Australian landscapes, the lineup includes lightweight 20K shell jackets, nylon parachute pants, cargo style shell pieces, breathable sports tops, strapback caps and graphic T shirts. Each piece is designed with durability, weather resistance and freedom of movement in mind, reinforcing Pyra’s commitment to functional clothing that fits naturally into modern life.
