Porsche Reveals Next-Gen 911 GT3 Cup With Enhanced Performance and eFuel Technology

Porsche

The iconic track machine returns with refined dynamics, modernized design, and a strong push toward sustainable racing.

A Sharper, Smarter GT3 Cup

Porsche has unveiled the next-generation 911 GT3 Cup, built on the updated 992.2 platform and designed to elevate performance while embracing sustainability. Set to debut in summer 2025, with production starting in fall, the new GT3 Cup is gearing up for its racing debut in the 2026 season.

The car’s development, led by Porsche Motorsport at its Weissach facility, included rigorous testing at Monza, Lausitzring, and Porsche’s in-house test track. Professional drivers like Bastian Buus and Klaus Bachler played a key role in fine-tuning its handling and responsiveness.

Performance Upgrades

Under the hood, the high-revving 4.0-liter flat-six engine returns with approximately 503 hp, paired with a sequential transmission for faster, more precise shifts. A reworked driveline and chassis deliver improved balance and durability. Aerodynamics have also been refined, featuring a redesigned front with larger cooling intakes, hood vents, and a sharper splitter for increased grip. A wider rear track and optimized underbody flow complete the package.

Driver-Centric Interior

The cockpit introduces a redesigned steering wheel, an updated digital dash, and an improved pedal layout for better ergonomics. Enhancements to seat positioning and visibility further improve comfort and focus for long, high-intensity races.

Sustainable Racing With eFuel

One of the most notable advancements is the exclusive use of Porsche’s eFuel blend. Made with nearly 80% renewable components, this synthetic fuel reduces lifecycle CO2 emissions by 66% while maintaining top performance — aligning with FIA’s Advanced Sustainable regulations.

Production and Racing Debut

Manufactured in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, the new 911 GT3 Cup will headline the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and various Carrera Cup series worldwide starting in 2026. Combining cutting-edge performance with sustainability, this evolution marks a bold new chapter for Porsche’s one-make racing program.
