The U.K. soul-pop singer brings her sophomore album to life on the iconic stage.
A Breakthrough Performance
Olivia Dean made her Saturday Night Live debut on November 15, delivering two standout tracks from her latest album, The Art of Loving. The 26-year-old U.K. singer-songwriter and BRIT School alum captivated viewers with a lively rendition of “Man I Need” and a mesmerizing performance of “Let Alone the One You Love,” accompanied by Glen Powell as host.
Showcasing Her Soul-Pop Style
Dean opened her set in a sparkling gold dress, backed by a full band, before transitioning to a flowing pink gown for the second track, matching the ethereal stage design. Both songs, featured on The Art of Loving, helped the album reach No. 6 on the Billboard 200 after its September release.
Recently nominated for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Dean continues to build momentum in the U.S., currently holding four entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including her top 5 hit, “Man I Need.” She told Billboard, “I’ve never been somebody who has followed trends or made music because of what else was popular at the time. I like old music, I like soul music, I like Motown. That’s what I wanted to make, and in my mind, I’m in my own lane in that way.”
Tour Announcement
In addition to her SNL appearance, Dean announced The Art of Loving Tour, kicking off in San Francisco on July 10, with stops in Los Angeles, New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Atlanta, Toronto, Las Vegas, Boston, Houston, and concluding in Austin on August 28, 2026.
With her SNL debut and growing U.S. success, Olivia Dean continues to establish herself as a rising force in contemporary soul-pop.
