The label’s first eyewear collection introduces two frames crafted from biodegradable acetate and fitted with mineral glass lenses.
Two Frames Built On The Same Foundation
Noah has officially entered the eyewear category with its first-ever sunglasses collection, introducing two silhouettes priced at $288 USD: The Angus and The Keating. Both styles are handmade in Japan and constructed from 100% bio-circular acetate, a certified biodegradable material derived from renewable sources rather than conventional plastics.
Each pair is fitted with mineral glass lenses that provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Compared to standard polycarbonate lenses, mineral glass offers superior optical clarity and scratch resistance, giving the collection a premium feel while maintaining Noah’s commitment to more responsible materials.
Subtle Differences Define Each Style
While both models share identical bridge and temple measurements, their design approaches differ. The Angus features a thicker 8mm frame and utilizes two-tone seven-barrel hinges finished in gold and silver, giving it a more substantial presence and sturdier feel. It arrives in Black and Tortoiseshell colorways.
The Keating opts for a slimmer 6mm construction with a more classic round lens shape. Its lighter profile is complemented by five-barrel hinges with the same dual-tone finish. In addition to Black and Tortoiseshell, the frame is also available in Green, adding a broader color offering to the debut lineup.
Custom rivet detailing appears throughout both styles, referencing vintage eyewear construction while adding subtle texture and character.
Designed For Everyday Wear
Beyond aesthetics, both sunglasses are fully prescription eligible and feature adjustable temples for a personalized fit. Each pair ships with a fabric case and lens cloth, extending their practicality beyond seasonal wear.
By pairing Japanese craftsmanship with biodegradable materials and timeless silhouettes, Noah’s first eyewear release feels less like a one-off experiment and more like a natural extension of the brand’s broader design philosophy. The Angus and The Keating are available now for $288 USD each.
