The sought after regional classic returns with refreshed detailing while preserving its cultural roots.
A Coveted Classic Returns
Nike is reintroducing one of the most elusive Foamposite releases with the Air Foamposite One “Tianjin 2.0.” First released in 2015 as an Asia exclusive, the sneaker quickly reached grail status due to its rarity and strong cultural narrative.
This updated version gives collectors another chance to secure the design while staying true to what made the original so special.
Cultural Details Drive the Design
The Foamposite shell once again showcases intricate artwork inspired by Chinese culture. Lotus flowers, koi fish and references to the 2008 Beijing Olympics appear throughout, creating a layered visual story tied to Tianjin’s basketball heritage.
These elements remain central to the sneaker, reinforcing its identity as more than just a performance model.
A Cleaner and Brighter Update
The main update comes through lighter detailing that replaces the darker accents of the original. White elements across the lining, tongue and lace panels give the sneaker a fresher and more modern appearance.
This adjustment enhances the contrast of the graphics, allowing the artwork to stand out even more.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Tianjin 2.0” is set to release in May 2026 through Nike and select retailers for 250 USD.
