A Full-Circle Moment for Miley
Miley Cyrus just received one of Hollywood’s most iconic honors — her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Announced on July 2, this milestone marks a full-circle moment for the singer, who first came to Los Angeles as a young girl chasing big dreams.
Reflecting on the news, Miley shared a heartfelt message on social media:
“When I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late night walks with my dad [Billy Ray Cyrus] when no one would recognize him. We’d have the gift shops to ourselves & buy knock off Oscars and Marilyn Monroe merch. To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream.”
She added, “This moment will live forever. Thank you to everyone in my life who made it possible. I am grateful to share this star with you.”
A Perfectly Timed Honor
The news comes right on the heels of her recent Something Beautiful visual album, which dropped May 30 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The album includes a scene of Miley lying on the Walk of Fame itself — a visual tribute to Track 9, “Walk of Fame.”
In true Miley fashion, she fully committed to the shoot. While filming on the actual sidewalk, she ended up contracting a knee infection. “To have a surgeon look at you and say, ‘Yuck’… that’s how bad it was,” she recalled during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Among Icons
Miley now joins an elite class of entertainers whose names are literally embedded in Hollywood history. Her star will appear alongside legends like Michael Jackson, Elton John, and Carole King. She’s part of the 2025 inductee class, which also includes Josh Groban, Demi Moore, and Molly Ringwald.
From rolling around on the stars to becoming one of them, Miley’s latest achievement isn’t just symbolic — it’s a powerful reminder of her journey, her influence, and her place in pop culture history.
