Le Café Lpm: La Petite Maison’s casual café spin-off is setting up a year-long residency in one of London’s most storied hotel lobbies.
La Petite Maison, the Michelin-starred French restaurant with locations across London, Hong Kong, and beyond, is opening a standalone café concept at The Lanesborough in Mayfair. Le Café LPM will operate as a residency through the hotel’s ground floor and public spaces, marking a departure from the brand’s fine-dining playbook and leaning instead into the all-day casual dining model that’s increasingly defining luxury hospitality in central London.
The venue trades the tasting menu format for a more relaxed, drop-in experience built around French Riviera aesthetics and accessible pricing. All-day service means breakfast through late evening, with the menu designed to reflect the lighter, sun-soaked sensibility of the South of France rather than the haute cuisine precision LPM’s core restaurants are known for. Think pastries and coffee in the morning, charcuterie and wine by afternoon, and dinner-focused plates as evening settles in. The café concept allows the group to reach a broader audience within The Lanesborough’s orbit, hotel residents, locals, and tourists looking for elevated casual dining without the commitment or cost of a full tasting menu experience.
The Lanesborough itself is a natural fit for this kind of cultural play. The hotel’s location on Hyde Park Corner and its position as one of London’s most ornate and historically significant addresses gives Le Café LPM instant prestige and foot traffic. A year-long residency suggests this is being framed as a limited-run collaboration rather than a permanent fixture, which adds an element of scarcity and timeliness to the launch. For LPM’s parent company Miss Jones Group, it’s also a smart way to test the all-day café model in a high-profile, low-risk setting before potentially rolling it out elsewhere.
