An immersive forest of fantasy marks a decade of Kasing Lung’s beloved characters.

A Milestone Exhibition in Hong Kong

To celebrate ten years of THE MONSTERS universe, the global exhibition MONSTERS BY MONSTERS NOW AND THEN has arrived in Hong Kong. On view from December 15 2025 through January 4 2026 at the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, the exhibition represents a major milestone for artist Kasing Lung and the creatures that have come to define his career. Following successful stops in Shanghai and Taipei, the Hong Kong presentation carries special meaning as a symbolic homecoming for the artist.

Inside the Enchanted Forest of Labubu

The exhibition transforms the venue into an immersive enchanted forest where fantasy and reality blur together. Visitors are guided through the evolution of LABUBU and THE MONSTERS, beginning with Lung’s early sketches and original artworks inspired by Norse mythology and his Fairy Trilogy. These early works trace how the characters grew from intimate illustrations into globally recognized cultural icons.

Art Toys Memory and Interaction

Beyond fine art, the exhibition expands into designer toys and interactive experiences. A dedicated Designer Toys Zone documents LABUBU’s transformation through collectible figures, while an Interactive Zone highlights collaborations with POP MART. Together, these spaces show how THE MONSTERS have crossed mediums and generations, remaining emotionally resonant while continually evolving.
