The French street artist transforms a pool into an immersive retro arcade experience.

A First-Ever Pool Installation

Invader, the legendary French artist known for his 8-bit mosaics, is making his Nashville debut with a one-of-a-kind pool artwork at Ray Nashville. Renderings show Space Invader-inspired figures embedded across the pool floor, complemented by a blue-hued frieze of retro characters lining the rim. Visitors will have the rare chance to literally immerse themselves in the work while enjoying sweeping views of downtown Nashville.

Invader’s Artistic Vision

Franck Slama, better known as Invader, has left his mark on more than 79 cities across 20 countries over the past two decades. The pool project aligns perfectly with his mosaic expertise, a medium he described as ideal for translating his pixelated style into large-scale installations.

Ray Nashville as a Creative Hub

The building, located in the vibrant Pie Town neighborhood, will also showcase works by local artists across its amenity spaces. Scheduled to open in early 2027, Ray Nashville is positioning itself as a dynamic hub for the city’s creative community, blending fine art, architecture, and design in everyday living.
