northern nights

The debut collaboration between the two festivals brought an unforgettable weekend of music and community to Northern California.

Exclusive Sets From the Woods

The first edition of Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights went down July 18 to 20 along the Eel River. Fans can now relive the experience with exclusive sets from Jersey Club titan UNIIQU3, Dirtybird mainstay J. Phlip, Life On Planets, and Moody Jones, who also serves as GM of dance at EMPIRE. Together, the recordings capture four hours of music from the festival weekend.

A New Chapter for Dirtybird

This marked the first collaborative event between Northern Nights and the Dirtybird brand, which launched in 2015 and was acquired by EMPIRE after the label’s 2022 purchase of Dirtybird Records. As the team at EMPIRE shifted leadership, they sought to reimagine how Dirtybird could evolve while keeping the community spirit alive.

Shared Vision Between Festivals

Northern Nights co-founder Andrew Borgelt emphasized how naturally the partnership came together, with both teams aligned on authenticity and balance. The festival featured headliners including Zeds Dead, Jungle, Aluna, Justin Martin, Levity, and Walker and Royce, alongside daytime river activities and nighttime dance floor energy.
