The limited-edition supercar pays tribute to a historic Le Mans victory while pushing lightweight engineering to the extreme.
A Homage to Racing History
Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV) introduced the S1 LM during Monterey Car Week 2025. Limited to just five units, this road-legal supercar celebrates Murray’s 1995 Le Mans win and channels his design philosophy of purity, precision, and lightweight engineering.
Performance and Design
The S1 LM boasts a 4.3-liter V12 capable of more than 690 hp and revving to 12,100 rpm. The engine pairs with a manual gearbox inspired by the T.50 and a bespoke Inconel exhaust shielded in 18-karat gold, producing an unmistakable, race-bred sound. Its carbon fiber bodywork, Le Mans-inspired aero, splitter, diffuser, and dual-element rear wing all enhance performance while maintaining elegant proportions.
Driver-Focused Interior
Inside, a central driving position anchors a minimalist cockpit designed with lightweight materials and precise engineering. Bespoke suspension geometry, dampers, and a solid-mounted engine ensure a raw, connected driving experience. Professor Gordon Murray calls the S1 LM “timeless and beautiful,” emphasizing balance and proportion over fleeting trends. The five cars are already spoken for, with deliveries expected in 2026.
