G-STAR Unveils Anatomic Denim With Creative Collaborations

Denim

The Dutch brand explores movement and form in its latest indigo-tinted range.

Art Meets Denim

G-STAR’s new Anatomic Denim drop continues the brand’s focus on architectural lines and the human body, evolving from its iconic Elwood model. New silhouettes like the Contor and engineered seam Kitoh combine refined fit with technical innovation, offering a fresh take on contemporary denim.

Collaborative Vision

The launch also introduces two creative collaborations. Art director Jordan Hemingway conceptualized a dynamic campaign capturing athletes in motion, stripping away accessories to highlight form and function. Meanwhile, taxidermists Darwin, Sinke & van Tongeren crafted a life-like gorilla sculpture swathed in denim panels, blending muscular shapes with fabric to create a striking visual metaphor for body and material as one.

Exhibition and Impact

After debuting at Amsterdam Fashion Week and CIFF Copenhagen, the sculpture now resides at Art Zoo Museum in Amsterdam. Hemingway reflects, “G-STAR is a brand with real heritage, but what makes them exciting is their appetite for reinvention and boundary-pushing. This project demanded invention and was exhilarating in every sense.”
