Nissan is bringing serious heat to its full-size SUV lineup with the debut of the 2026 Armada NISMO—and yes, it’s the most powerful Armada ever.
This marks the first time the U.S. gets a NISMO version of the Armada (while the Middle East has enjoyed the Patrol NISMO for a while now), and it’s a big, bold entry. Literally.
Power & Performance Upgrades
Under the hood, the Armada NISMO runs on a tuned-up version of Nissan’s 5.6L V8. Feed it premium fuel and you’ll get 460 horsepower, up 35 hp from the standard model. Torque stays steady at 516 lb-ft, but a retuned ECU and revised valve clearances help give it more responsiveness.
It’s paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and offers both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive options. Standard on all trims is a NISMO-tuned adaptive electronic air suspension—yes, this beast wants to handle.
Styling: It’s a NISMO, So You Know They Went In
What’s a NISMO without the look? Nissan doesn’t hold back:
- Blacked-out front grille
- Flared fenders
- 22-inch forged aluminum wheels
- Red brake calipers
- Rear spoiler & diffuser
- LED fog lights
- And plenty of NISMO badging
Color options include NISMO Stealth Gray, Everest White Pearl Tricoat, and Black Diamond Pearl, with the option to contrast with a black roof.
Inside, you’ll find red quilted seat inserts, dark gray leather, adjustable bolsters, and—you guessed it—NISMO headrest embroidery. It’s flashy but still luxe, leaning into that high-performance-meets-premium balance.
Where It Fits and What It Costs
The Armada NISMO will land between the Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve trims, making it one of the higher-end options in the lineup. While official pricing hasn’t dropped yet, expect a starting tag around $78,000 when it arrives later this summer.
The Bigger Picture
This model joins an iconic NISMO lineup that includes:
- 350Z NISMO
- 370Z NISMO
- GT-R NISMO
- Sentra NISMO
- Ariya NISMO
- And yes, even the infamous Juke NISMO
For full-size SUV fans who want big power, bold presence, and a badge that means business, the 2026 Armada NISMO might just be the heavyweight contender worth waiting for.
