En Iwamura Explores Emptiness And Serenity In New Sculptural Editions

edition

Japanese artist En Iwamura channels the philosophy of ma in his latest work.

Bridging Space And Time Through Sculpture

Renowned for his pop ceramics inspired by ancient Jomon craftsmanship, En Iwamura has teamed up with London’s Avant Arte to unveil “Neo Jomon: Biomorphic fantôme,” a pair of limited-edition sculptures that capture the essence of the Japanese concept ma—the meaningful space that exists between things and moments.

Each piece reflects Iwamura’s signature style, with soft, flowing forms that emphasize the dynamic energy between object and surrounding space. The sculptures invite viewers to experience serenity and presence, echoing the tranquility found in Zen Buddhist gardens.

Timeless Beauty In Marble

Carved from luxurious white and red Bardiglio Nuvolato marble, these organic forms feature gently raked textures that enhance their calm, meditative aura. Measuring roughly 11.4” x 7.9” x 7.1”, each colorway is limited to just 25 editions, making them highly sought-after collectibles.

Starting August 28, the sculptures will be available for $5,351 USD. Interested buyers can enter the draw now through August 27 on Avant Arte’s website for a chance to own one of these serene masterpieces.
