CP Company and Alessi Team Up for a Capsule That Turns Kitchen Classics Into Wearable Art

Swatch and Audemars Piguet Team Up to Democratize High Horology

The Italian workwear specialist and the design house behind the iconic kettle collaborate on a collection that blurs the line between utilitarian gear and domestic sculpture.

There’s a particular kind of Italian confidence that lets you print a stovetop espresso maker on a technical jacket and call it a cultural statement. CP Company, the Veneto brand that built its reputation on functional nylon and goggle aesthetics, and Alessi, the Lombardy design house synonymous with sculptural kitchenware, have merged their sensibilities into a capsule collection that feels inevitable in retrospect and surprising in execution.

The collaboration sits at an intersection that most brands wouldn’t dare approach. CP Company trades in the vocabulary of techwear, protective gear, and the kind of considered minimalism that appeals to people who actually work outside. Alessi, meanwhile, has spent decades canonizing domestic objects, the whistling bird kettle, the Graves kettle, the curvilinear coffee pots, into design museum pieces. Wearing one on a jacket sleeve or across a bag is the kind of move that could tip into kitsch in the hands of anyone less assured. Here, the juxtaposition feels deliberate rather than cute. The espresso machines and kettles appear as tonal prints, integrated into CP’s signature nylon construction, sitting alongside the brand’s existing technical details and hardware as if they’ve always belonged there.

What matters is that neither brand diluted itself to make this work. CP didn’t soften into lifestyle mode or add unnecessary color. Alessi didn’t reduce its designs into logos. Instead, there’s a mutual respect operating here, two Italian institutions acknowledging that function and form aren’t opposing forces, just different angles on the same problem: making something people actually want to live with. The capsule reads less like a collaboration and more like a conversation between two families who’ve known each other forever and finally decided to share a meal.
