Pokémon takes flight on a vibrant new A350 experience.
A Sky Full of Pokémon
China Airlines has unveiled its second Pokémon-themed aircraft, the “Pikachu Jet CI2,” built on an Airbus A350-900. The plane features 13 different Pokémon across its fuselage, including Flying Pikachu, Dragonite, Hoppip and Cresselia, all arranged in a lively, in-motion scene that plays into the theme of traveling the world.
Design Rooted in Taiwan
Beyond the characters, the exterior incorporates traditional Taiwanese elements like cloud patterns and floral tile motifs, symbolizing luck and happiness. The soft pastel color palette ties everything together while complementing the airline’s plum blossom logo, and even includes hidden Pokémon details for passengers to spot.
A Fully Themed Travel Experience
The concept extends inside the cabin with Pokémon-themed amenities, from tray mats and cups to pillows and headrest covers. Passengers also receive small exclusive gifts like Pikachu pens or sticky notes. The aircraft begins service on routes between Taoyuan and Tokyo (Narita) and Seattle, with select themed touches expanding to other destinations over time.
