Bugatti Bolide Chassis #001 to Hit the Auction Block

Bugatti

The rarest of the track-only hypercars will go under the hammer during Monterey Car Week this August.

The first-ever production Bugatti Bolide, chassis number 001, is headed to auction at Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach event on August 15–16. As the debut unit of just 40 built, this hypercar represents one of the most exclusive and powerful track machines ever made.

A Hypercar Built Without Limits

Originally unveiled as a radical track-only concept in 2020, the Bolide quickly gained acclaim and demand that pushed Bugatti to bring it to production. This track-focused hypercar is powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, producing an astonishing 1,600 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. Weighing only 3,086 pounds dry, it rockets from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.2 seconds and generates nearly three tons of downforce at speed—engineering feats that highlight Bugatti’s mastery of speed and performance.

A Unique Collectible in French Racing Blue

Chassis #001 sports a striking French Racing Blue finish accented with Nocturne Black carbon and signature “X” motifs. Delivered to Texas-based teamcjworks, it has logged only 389 miles since its 2023 production launch at Le Mans. Valued between $4.5 million and $6 million, this Bolide chassis is expected to attract serious bidders at Monterey, making it one of the most coveted Bugattis of the modern era.
