BRABUS Unleashes the BODO, a Carbon-Fiber Grand Tourer With 1,000 HP Attitude

brabus

Built as a tribute and engineered like a statement, this is BRABUS at its most unapologetically extreme.

A Tribute Turned Into a Supercar

BRABUS has revealed the BODO, a coachbuilt 2+2 grand tourer created in honor of founder Bodo Buschmann.

Unveiled at Lake Como’s FuoriConcorso, the car is more than a limited release. It is positioned as a “Masterpiece” — a fully realized expression of the brand’s design and engineering philosophy.

Sculpted From Carbon, Designed for Presence

Built on the foundation of the Aston Martin Vanquish, the BODO is almost entirely reworked using high-strength carbon fiber.

The result is a long, low silhouette that emphasizes both visual drama and high-speed stability. From the aggressive front fascia with its custom grille and RAM-AIR ducts to the active rear spoiler that doubles as an air brake, every detail is engineered with intent.

Despite stretching over 16 feet in length, the car maintains a relatively low weight thanks to its advanced composite construction.

1,000 Horsepower, No Subtlety

Under the hood sits a hand-built 5.2 liter twin-turbo V12 pushing out 1,000 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic, launching the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 3 seconds and pushing past 300 km/h in under 24 seconds. Top speed is electronically capped at 360 km/h.

This is not just fast for a grand tourer. It is hypercar territory.

Engineered to Perform, Tuned to Adapt

The BODO rides on custom BRABUS Monoblock wheels paired with high-performance tires developed alongside Continental.

A fully adjustable suspension system offers multiple driving modes, allowing the car to shift from comfortable grand touring to aggressive performance with minimal effort. Carbon-ceramic brakes ensure stopping power matches its acceleration.

A Cabin Built Like a Bespoke Object

Inside, the car leans into a dark, ultra-refined aesthetic.

Hand-finished leather, exposed carbon fiber, and precise stitching define the interior, while subtle details — including the founder’s signature embroidered into the doors — reinforce the personal nature of the project.

Ultra Limited, Ultra Exclusive

Production is capped at just 77 units worldwide, each built to the buyer’s specifications.

With a starting price north of $1.1 million, the BODO is not just a car. It is a collector-grade statement piece that merges legacy, performance, and design into one of BRABUS’s most ambitious creations to date.
