Bonnaroo 2025 Canceled Due to Dangerous Weather Conditions

A Storm Shuts Down the Farm

In heartbreaking news for music lovers, the 2025 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has officially been canceled due to severe weather. The announcement came late Friday evening following an earlier evacuation notice issued to attendees.

The four-day festival, held annually in Manchester, Tennessee, was forced to call it quits after the National Weather Service released an updated forecast citing “significant and steady precipitation.” Organizers said the expected rainfall would lead to rapidly deteriorating camping conditions, making it unsafe for festivalgoers to remain on site.

Safety First: Evacuation Plans and Next Steps

Festival organizers shared a statement around 7:30 p.m. local time, expressing their devastation over the cancellation while emphasizing that attendee safety remains their top priority.

“We are beyond gutted,” the statement read. “But we must make the safest decision and cancel the remainder of Bonnaroo.”

To manage the large-scale evacuation, the message asked those in stable camping situations—like RVs or pre-pitched accommodations—to stay overnight on Friday, allowing staff to prioritize evacuating campers in more compromised or flooded areas.

“Some of your fellow campers’ sites are in rough shape,” the team shared. “The rain has settled in areas and made certain parts of Outeroo difficult to manage.”

Organizers Promise Refunds and Transparency

The festival’s statement concluded with a heartfelt thank you to the Bonnaroo community for their patience, understanding, and “unfailing Bonnaroovian spirit.” Full and partial refund information was made available via Bonnaroo’s official channels, with specifics depending on the type of ticket or parking pass purchased.

Thursday’s opening day—which went smoothly—featured performances from Luke Combs, Dom Dolla, Rebecca Black, and Insane Clown Posse. Unfortunately, fans will now miss out on a stacked weekend lineup that included:

  • Friday: Tyler, The Creator, John Summit, Glass Animals
  • Saturday: Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, Justice
  • Sunday: Hozier, Vampire Weekend, Queens of the Stone Age

Final Thoughts

While this year’s Bonnaroo came to an unexpected and emotional halt, the decision was made with safety in mind. As the team works to get everyone off the farm safely and begin issuing refunds, one thing is clear: Bonnaroo’s spirit remains strong—even in the rain.

Stay safe, Bonnaroovians. We’ll see you on the farm again soon.
