The limited model celebrates forty years of BMW M performance with heritage inspired design and track focused upgrades.
A Special Edition Celebrating BMW M History
BMW has revealed the 2027 M4 Coupe M Legacy Edition, a special model created to celebrate forty years of the brand’s M performance heritage in Canada. Limited to just 40 units, the car pays tribute to the legacy of the original BMW M3 Coupe while recognizing Canada as one of BMW M’s strongest markets.
The release will be available exclusively to Canadian buyers, meaning enthusiasts in the United States will not have access to the limited production model.
Heritage Colors and Performance Details
The M4 Legacy Edition can be ordered in either the standard rear wheel drive M4 Coupe or the all wheel drive M4 Competition Coupe. Each example arrives fully equipped with enthusiast focused features such as the M Driver’s Package, carbon bucket seats, black Merino leather upholstery and carbon fiber interior trim.
Several distinctive visual upgrades set the edition apart. The car rides on gold bronze 826M wheels and features an Alcantara wrapped M steering wheel typically reserved for high performance CS and CSL variants. Black M graphics stretch across the hood and trunk to highlight the car’s commemorative theme.
Limited Production and Release Timeline
Buyers can choose from three BMW Individual heritage paint colors including Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue Metallic and Imola Red II. Production will begin in Germany in June 2026, with deliveries expected to arrive at Canadian dealerships during the third quarter of the year.
The 2027 BMW M4 Coupe M Legacy Edition starts at 115,500 Canadian dollars for the rear wheel drive model, while the M4 Competition version is priced from 124,500 Canadian dollars.
