BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” Music Video Hits 1 Billion Views On YouTube

The billion-view club just got a little more pink — and venomous.

BLACKPINK Adds Another Billion-View Video To Their Legacy

BLACKPINK is back in the headlines as their hit music video for “Pink Venom” officially surpasses 1 billion views on YouTube. The song, which dropped on August 19, 2022, marked the lead single from their second studio album Born Pink and peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, nearly three years later, it’s become the sixth video in the group’s history to reach the billion-view milestone.

Their YouTube Reign Continues

The K-pop powerhouses — JENNIE, JISOO, LISA, and ROSÉ — continue to dominate YouTube in a way few others can. Other videos in their billion-plus club include:
“DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love” (each with over 2 billion views),
“BOOMBAYAH” (approaching 2 billion),
“AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST,”
and “How You Like That.”

Back in 2018, BLACKPINK made history when “DDU-DU DDU-DU” pulled in over 36 million views on its first day and became the fastest K-pop group video to hit 100 million views — reaching that number in just 10 days. Not long after, it became the most viewed K-pop group video by early 2019. And by then, they were also the first K-pop group to hit 20 million subscribers on YouTube.

A New Era And A New Hit

While the group briefly slowed down to explore solo projects — including LISA’s acting debut in White Lotus and JENNIE’s turn in The Idol — the members have regrouped and returned to form with their latest track “Jump,” released in July. The comeback single has already climbed to No. 28 on the Hot 100.

BLACKPINK recently wrapped the North American leg of their DEADLINE World Tour and are now performing across Europe. The tour returns to Asia in October and will close with two massive shows at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on January 24 and 25.

Another billion down — and with BLACKPINK, it’s safe to say there’s more where that came from.
