Pebble Beach got the memo that cars alone aren’t enough, Bentley just turned Monterey Car Week into pure spectacle.
Bentley showed up to Monterey Car Week 2026 with two statements that confirm the British marque has stopped pretending restraint is a virtue. The automaker unveiled the Continental Supersports Dragon, a hypercar-adjacent machine built to make every other luxury sedan look quaint, alongside a Bentayga SUV retrofitted with an actual espresso bar. Not a nod to coffee culture. An actual functional café inside a 6,000-pound vehicle.
The Dragon variant signals where Bentley’s energy sits right now: maximum excess, maximum drama. Meanwhile, the Bentayga’s interior barista setup transforms the SUV from transportation into a mobile hospitality experience, the kind of flex that only works when your audience has eight figures in the bank and genuinely believes a car’s value extends to how many amenities fit inside it.
Monterey Car Week, already the calendar’s most calculated automotive theater, just became impossible to ignore. While other brands trot out incremental updates and heritage stories, Bentley walked in asking whether anyone actually needs a cup of coffee that badly. The answer, apparently, is yes, and you’ll take it served on leather while parked at Pebble Beach.
