The R26 Concept F1 car marks the brand’s debut for the 2026 racing season.
A Bold New F1 Identity
Audi has officially revealed the R26 Concept, showcasing its minimalist, technical, and emotional design language. Featuring a split titanium and black base with “Audi Lava Red” accents, the car emphasizes clean lines and a dramatic fuselage cut highlighting the rear power unit. The design previews the team’s visual identity ahead of sponsorship logos, with initial partners including Revolut, adidas, and bp.
Team Revolut and Leadership
Racing under the name Team Revolut, Audi acquired Sauber Group to form its F1 entry. Leadership includes Mattia Binotto (ex-Ferrari) and Jonathan Wheatley (ex-Red Bull), while drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto are set to pilot the R26. CEO Gernot Döllner frames the F1 venture as a step toward innovation and renewal, aiming for a World Championship title by 2030.
Race Plans and Technology
The R26 will officially debut in January 2026, with testing in Barcelona and Bahrain before its first race in Melbourne, Australia, March 6-8. The team will compete under new regulations, featuring sustainable fuels and nearly 50% electric power share, signaling Audi’s commitment to both performance and innovation.
