Vaquera Shows Love to the Nike Air Max DN8

vaquera

The avant-garde label brings its playful, romantic touch to Nike’s latest silhouette.

A Kiss of Style

Vaquera has written its own love letter to the Nike Air Max DN8—quite literally. The New York City-born, now Paris-based label unveiled its lipstick-stamped take on the sneaker during its Spring/Summer 2026 runway show in Paris. The all-white silhouette arrives covered in bright red kiss prints, turning a performance-ready shoe into a statement of affection and attitude.

From Runway to Romance

This marks Vaquera’s latest step into the footwear world after debuting its first in-house shoes in Paris last fall. Led by creative directors Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee, the brand introduced two leather styles—a knee-high cowboy boot and a kitten-heeled pump—in collaboration with Philéo. The Nike collaboration continues that daring approach, merging streetwear with surreal storytelling.

Love, Rage, and What’s Next

Known for bold reinterpretations, Vaquera previously reimagined Onitsuka Tiger’s Mexico 66 sneaker for its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, featuring the words “LOVE” and “RAGE” embroidered on each tongue. Now, with the Air Max DN8, the label cements its flair for turning fashion statements into literal declarations.

While no official release date has been announced, Vaquera has teased that the pair is “coming soon.” Keep an eye on the label’s channels as more details emerge.
