The classic slip-on gets a bold, sculptural upgrade.
A Statement-Making Redesign
Vans is reworking its iconic Slip-On 98 with a dramatic twist, introducing an oversized rope knot across the vamp. The nautical-inspired detail transforms the usually minimal silhouette into something far more expressive, adding a sculptural edge while still keeping the shoe’s easy, slip-on DNA intact.
Built for Grip and Comfort
Beyond the visual update, performance gets a serious boost. The shoe sits on a custom Vibram outsole with a rugged tread pattern for added traction, while a Sola Foam ADC insole improves cushioning and long-term comfort. Heritage touches like the glossy sidewall and 90s-inspired foxing tape keep it connected to Vans’ roots.
Two Distinct Finishes
The pack arrives in two material options. One features a black and off-white hairy suede build for a more textured, premium feel, while the other comes in a Daphne blue and white heavyweight canvas. Both keep the classic elastic side panels and padded collar, making them just as easy to wear as the original.
