Toyota Innova HyCross Facelift Launches November 25 with 12.3-Inch Touchscreen and Ethanol-Ready Hybrid

Toyota Innova HyCross Facelift Launches November 25 with 12.3-Inch Touchscreen and Ethanol-Ready Hybrid

Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Toyota’s bestselling MPV across Asia gets its first major refresh, complete with redesigned exterior, modern cabin tech, and a flex-fuel powertrain upgrade.

The Toyota Innova HyCross facelift arrives November 25, 2026, as part of two significant vehicle launches within a seven-day window in late 2026. Toyota Kirloskar Motor is rolling out the refreshed HyCross alongside the global premiere of the next-generation Fortuner, which follows on December 1, 2026 in South Africa.

The Toyota Innova HyCross Facelift Gets a Modern Redesign

The 2027 Innova HyCross facelift represents the MPV’s first comprehensive redesign since its introduction. Outside, the seven-seater receives a revised front fascia with a new grille and sharper headlamp design, according to carlelo.com. Updated alloy wheels, restyled bumpers, and reworked taillamps round out the exterior refresh, with spy shots revealing a more contemporary appearance while maintaining the vehicle’s proportional silhouette.

Inside the cabin, the changes are more substantial. The upgraded model will offer a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster on higher trims, with petrol models receiving a 7-inch display instead. Cabin upholstery and interior color schemes have been revised to feel more premium, drawing inspiration from the recently updated Indonesian specification model.

Hybrid Powertrain Gets Flex-Fuel Capability

The refreshed HyCross continues with its 2.0-liter strong hybrid powertrain, but with a critical upgrade: the engine will be modified to support higher ethanol blends, likely E30 or beyond. The hybrid system maintains its current output of 186 horsepower paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox, though the flex-fuel variant will retain the same basic hybrid architecture while gaining compatibility with alternative fuel compositions.

Next-Gen Fortuner Arrives with ADAS and Connected Interior

The all-new Fortuner, debuting globally on December 1, 2026, marks a significant evolution for Toyota’s full-sized 7-seater SUV. The redesign preserves the rugged body-on-frame platform while updating its underpinnings to align with the latest Hilux pickup truck, according to carlelo.com. The new Fortuner will reach Indian dealerships in early 2027.

Visually, the SUV adopts a more upright, commanding stance. The front end features a larger grille, redesigned bumper, and slimmer LED headlight clusters that signal a departure from the previous generation’s proportions. A revised tailgate structure with a connected LED light bar defines the rear, while thick body cladding, squared wheel arches, new alloy wheels, and an available panoramic sunroof complete the aggressive aesthetic.

The cabin marks a generational leap in technology and comfort. Dual 12.3-inch displays comprise a floating infotainment touchscreen and a fully digital driver’s instrument cluster. Standard connectivity includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety and convenience features span a 360-degree surround view camera, ventilated and powered front seats, multi-color ambient lighting, and wireless smartphone charging. The Toyota Safety Sense Level 2 ADAS package adds adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert capabilities.

Power comes from a 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 201 horsepower and 500 newton-meters of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic, with both rear-wheel drive and 4×4 configurations available.
