Maison Valentino’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, brings his poetic and unconventional vision to Vans with a bold reinterpretation of the Authentic silhouette. Merging skate culture with high fashion, the collaboration explores surrealism through clashing patterns, technicolor graphics, and unexpected motifs.
Design Details
The capsule spans six men’s and women’s styles, keeping the canvas uppers intact while layering in new visuals. Highlights include Valentino’s Le Chat de la Maison motif, monogram checkerboards with palm silhouettes, and a dramatic black-and-white checker overlaid with red polka dots. A standout design reads “I Love Valentino x Vans,” echoing playful souvenir typography.
