A surreal new chapter brings Kendall Jenner, JENNIE and more into the world of The Original Icon.

A Dreamlike Hunt for the Superstar

The adidas Superstar has spent more than five decades moving through sport, music and street culture without ever losing its edge. In its newest campaign, The Original Icon, Samuel L. Jackson returns as cultural narrator, this time stepping into a fictional and slightly uncanny “Hotel Superstar.”

Framed as a playful search for his “Superstar,” Jackson wanders through the hotel’s corridors in a metaphor for the shoe’s lasting presence across eras and identities. Directed once again by Thibaut Grevet, the spot leans into surreal, cinematic influences reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch. Set to Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man,” the film unfolds like a stylish fever dream.

Icons Collide Inside the Hotel

Within the hotel’s shifting hallways, a new cast of cultural figures emerges. Kendall Jenner wakes in stop motion disorientation. Tyshawn Jones ollies effortlessly past Jackson. Baby Keem marches hypnotically toward his pair of Superstars, crossing paths with James Harden. JENNIE and Jackson reappear from earlier chapters, while Lamine Yamal’s voice echoes through the halls calling out for “Samuel.”

The visual narrative bends time and space. Characters loop, drift and intersect in ways that feel both disorienting and deliberate. Like the Superstar itself, the campaign suggests that true icons do not follow time. They define it.

Spring 2026 Superstar Evolves

The campaign also introduces the Spring 2026 adidas Originals lineup. A classic black and white base is energized with bold red accents across the range. Menswear leans into relaxed tracksuits with red, black and white 3 Stripes blocking, alongside Tyshawn denim shorts, neutral tees and jacquard jerseys that signal a deeper focus on denim.

On the women’s side, the Superstar Tracktop expands beyond its athletic roots. Kendall Jenner’s Equipment Blocking Red Jacket leads the charge, joined by faux leather and crochet variations that push the silhouette further into everyday styling territory.

Whether Samuel L. Jackson ultimately finds his Superstar is left for viewers to discover. What remains clear is that the silhouette continues to anchor culture, proving once again why it remains one of adidas’ most enduring icons.
